Our Wedding

March 28, 2021 We have been in constant contact with the venue over the past few weeks regarding the allowable final headcount, and that number has fluctuated multiple times over this past week. At the current time, the amount of "attending" RSVPs exceeds the permitted capacity. Unfortunately, this means we will have to figure out how to cut the number down. For those of you who we are unable to have at the wedding, we will contact you ASAP (and I promise we will make it up to you). Additionally, we have learned that the invitations have been extremely slow to arrive. They were sent out a little over a month ago now, but there are some folks who still have not received their invitations. If this includes you, please text either of us. We sincerely apologize for the chaotic nature of this time, but we are so thankful for your patience and understanding. Please do not hesitate to text either of us if you have any questions or concerns.

November 2020 Due to COVID-19 and the changing responses to the pandemic, we are unsure what the final headcount of our wedding will be. Please know that you mean a lot to us, and we would love to have you at our wedding under normal circumstances. We will try to be diligent in updating the website as more information about the capacity of the wedding becomes available and if we have to make any difficult decisions regarding attendance. We are looking into options to stream the wedding virtually for those who are unable to attend. We appreciate your patience.

Note on Capacity

Miranda's and Dixon's story began in the Fall of 2017. Having just begun medical school, they each understood what the next 4 years meant for their futures; however, they did not fully understand just how much their futures would be shaped in those first few weeks. Being partners in a small group allowed them to quickly get to know each other, discuss their shared taste in music, and makes eyes at each other across a lightly-populated room. Dixon says that he will always remember when he first asked Miranda on a date. He recalls asking her to dinner after a school social event. Her passionate reply of "mhm" set the rest of their relationship, and lives, in motion. The spark was immediate. Their first date occurred at The Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Their connection deepened on that occasion when they learned that they shared a talent matched by few others: forgetting the to-go box. From that night on, Dixon and Miranda knew that every day to come would be special.

For parking on the day of the event, there is an "Event Only" valet service for $10. Additionally, for guests staying at the Linden Row Inn, there is a parking garage available for $18/day.
