Descanso Gardens is a lovely spot close to Glendale. My personal favorite part is the ancient grove, full of cool ferns. We got engaged here!

Secret Headquarters is one of our favorite bookstores in Los Angeles. A great place to pick up some new comics and zines. It's located in Atwater Village, and there's plenty to explore in the area. Walk to Wanderlust Creamery across the street for some great ice cream.

Vidiots is a theater near us in Eagle Rock. They always have interesting programming. If you're in town for a while, see what they're playing and go catch a movie! Bonus: walk to the Oinkster down the street for a good burger and an ube milkshake.

The largest urban-wilderness municipal park in the United States, Griffith Park is filled with trails, trees, trains, and the Hollywood Sign! The observatory hosts a small museum, and several Planetarium shows daily.

A fantastic place to sample some of LA's best food, all under one roof - we recommend Villa's Tacos, Shiku, and Sticky Rice! Walking distance to The Broad Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art, and Little Tokyo.
