Kyle's Version:

It was a cold, brisk January evening as I drove to the big "cities" to have a guys night out watching snowmobile races at Canterberry Park. As the beers were flowing, Brady said his wife and friend were going to come join us and when I saw Miranda I instantly thought "Obviously she has a boyfriend, I can't talk to her." I may have told some people that I tried to talk to her that night, but in all honesty that was a lie, I was too nervous to say anything, even with the beers. Luckily, later that night we became mutual friends online and I posted a picture the next day of the fun night out, which prompted Miranda to "slide into my DM's," it was all a part of my plan, trust me. We started to hit things off and asked her on a first date to Invictus Brew Co. and she said yes! We stayed there for almost 3 hours talking and getting to know each other. Over the next couple of months, we would go on our weekend dates either in Blaine or Alexandria and slowly our friendship grew. It wasn't until our family trip to Florida that I KNEW this girl was extremely special to me, seeing her interact with my siblings and how she was still the person she was on day one at Invictus, I had a rush of this girl means the world to me and I cannot let her go. Miranda would travel all over with and for me, watching me play softball or some family get together, she really was my number one person that I could constantly lean on. As things progressed and convinced her to move to Alexandria and I knew I had to purchase some jewelry to solidify why she moved to Alexandria. Through all the planning, prep work and aligning the timeline, I asked Miranda to be with me forever and marry me! She said yes and it is my favorite story to tell, so if you want to hear that whole story, please reach out I'd be glad to tell you how I planned it all out.

Miranda's Version:

When Kyle said it was brisk, what he really means is so freezing you couldn’t move but the beers helped keep the body warm. My friend Laura, who is also one of my amazing bridesmaids, and I were trying to figure out something new and exciting to do for the night. Snow cross ended up being the final decision or we wouldn’t be where we are today!

I don’t remember meeting Kyle, or seeing him for that matter, just saw a large group of people and my first thought was, the guy to girl ratio looks pretty even so everyone must be taken. It wasn’t until later I saw photos of us literally standing next to each other on an escalator!!!!! How could I not remember something like that! Anyways, he added me on Instagram at the very early hours of the morning or late hours of the night, however you look at those things, and posted the group photo we took later that day. My first thought was, he just added me on Instagram why didn’t he tag me!? So I slid into his DMs. He basically gave me the perfect moment and I did not want it to go to waste. Our conversations led to exchanging numbers and our first official date a week later at Invictus! I knew there was something special about him because that night we stayed there for THREE HOURS!! (Those who know me know I’m very shy when I meet new people so this was a big deal). From there on we went back and forth between Alex and Blaine, getting to know each other, each other’s family and friends, and realizing how much we truly meant to each other. Pretty sure I knew before him haha but Florida was the moment where everything aligned for the both of us, where it was all in with each other. Fast forward to the biggest surprise of him asking me to be his wife! Perfectly us and such a special memory I will cherish forever with him and our families.

There are so many amazing memories I could share between then and now, all the laughs, tearful “until next weekend’s”, new adventures, and so much more. And now here we are planning OUR wedding 🤍 I could write a novel about our love, but the morale of this story is, I can’t wait for forever with my person and for all the adventures that are waiting for us.
