Q: Are children welcome?

A: While we love the little ones, we respectfully ask that infants, toddlers, and children are left in the care of others. All wedding-related events are adults only (adults meaning 21+).

Q: When should I RSVP?

A: Please use the "RSVP" tab of this website to RSVP as soon as you are able; this will make our planning process easier, something we really appreciate! For a hard deadline, please RSVP by March 20, 2024.

Please be advised that one month out, April 10, we will be closing RSVP's to give our vendors ample time to prepare.

Q: What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

A: The dress code for our wedding is a black tie. Guests should wear floor-length gowns, pantsuits, formal dresses, or formal suits/tuxes. For our wedding design, we are evoking an earthy, urban, romantic night with an art deco theme throughout. If you choose to dress for the design, our colors include shades of green, neutrals, black, and gold.

Q: Can I take photos during the ceremony?

A: We invite with you to unplug with us and ask that guests please keep phones and cameras away for the duration of the ceremony. Please feel free to take photos and post to social media during the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, however we urge guests to be as present as possible. Our amazing wedding photographers will capture the special moments and we will of course share those images with you!

Q: Can I bring a plus one?

A: Unless your invitation states that you have a plus one, please do not ask to bring extra guests to wedding activities. While we'd love to celebrate with everyone, it is important to us that this is an intimate gathering with those closest to us.

Q: Why Chicago?

A: This is a question we've gotten a lot throughout the planning process. We would have loved to have our wedding in the mountains of Colorado, but knew that it would be a logistical nightmare (especially for guests). We felt similarly about having our nuptials in rural Vermont or Iowa. The solution? The Windy City, baby! Chicago is an ideal mid-point for our friends and family, has direct flights from/to almost every airport, and there's something for everyone to do. Catch a game at the iconic Wrigley field, shop until your heart's content on the Magnificent Mile, take a stroll along Lake Michigan, or devour a deep dish pizza (we won't judge if this is a solo mission) - the opportunities are endless! Chicago is also where we took one of our first trips as a couple, this city has a special place in our hearts.

In lieu of traditional gift-giving, we have instead set up a honeymoon and house fund. Your contribution will allow us to enjoy our time as newlyweds and plan for our future. We are appreciative of any amount and do not want our guests to feel pressure to contribute - your presence is a present!
