Miranda and Derek met the modern way: Tinder. After several late-night Denny’s dates and fishing trips, it didn’t take long for them to fall in love and move in together.

A few months into their relationship, they realized that they used to be in the same accounting class at UW Fox Valley, and he sat right in front of her the entire semester! Miranda talked to everyone around Derek, but him. She actually thought he was kind of annoying. Why? He would volunteer to read the problems, but would always have to borrow the book from the person next to him because he never could find his own. Little did she know that he would asking her for some help finding misplaced items for the next seven years... and the rest of her life.

Four years into the relationship, Derek proposed to Miranda at Sugar Loaf lookout in Winona. It was easiest ‘yes’ of her life.

Seven years, two cats, and one beautiful baby girl later, Derek and Miranda are getting married at Our Place Idaho in Felt, ID (just outside of the Grand Teton area). Since their first road trip in 2019, they have dreamed about getting married anywhere near the mountains and cant wait to celebrate with everyone at their wedding ceremony & reception in August!
