It all started with pizza, a game of Ping-Pong by the pool, and a prayer to god.

They say that the best way to meet people is through mutual friends and this story is no different. Nathan and Miranda met through their good friend Abby who invited them both to swim while she was house-sitting for some friends. After the initial meeting, Miranda found herself melting not from the heat, but because she thought Nathan was shockingly handsome. Little did Miranda know that she had caught his attention as well, as he couldn’t resist her long blonde hair and her infectious smile.

After a swim and with pizza on the way, Nathan invited Miranda to play a game of Ping-Pong and wanted to see if he could get to know her a little more. She found herself unable to resist and silently asked god to bless her with enough hand-eye coordination to make it through a couple of games. As they played Nathan found that Miranda checked all of his boxes- she even gained some bonus points after she helped him devour the pizza that had arrived.

The time finally came when it was time to head home and after a reluctant farewell, Nathan and Miranda parted ways.

What’s the first thing 20-something-year-olds do when they find someone that catches their eye? Find each other on Instagram- and that’s just what they did. After adding each other and non-stop texting/talking on the phone, the two became inseparable.

After seven years of dating and creating a life together they made it through Miranda’s scary illnesses and recoveries, experienced a pandemic, bought a home together, and started raising their three crazy pups. With the help of his best friends, Nathan decided to get down on one knee and asked Miranda to be his wife. She wholeheartedly said Yes.

Nathan and Miranda will exchange vows privately and will marry on February 25th, 2025.
