Our story began at UC Davis, a place where our passions, and a little bit of serendipity brought us together. Mireia had traveled from Catalonia to pursue her master’s in Viticulture and Enology, driven by her deep-rooted connection to the land and a love for the art of winemaking. Ian, on the other hand, had just made the move to Davis after completing his studies in Biology at LMU. With a strong desire to delve deeper into the world of plant science, Ian knew he wanted to embark on a path in academia to better understand agricultural ecology.

It wasn’t long before our paths crossed, and it was a shared interest in a hyperspectral camera—of all things—that initially brought us together. What started as conversations about plant science quickly grew into something more. We discovered that we not only shared a passion for our work but also for life’s many adventures. From attending concerts to catching waves, hiking trails, and exploring the great outdoors, we found joy in the simple pleasures of life. As our relationship built, we each discovered our values for family, food, and consistent personal growth were mirrored. We quickly realized that, although we were raised on other sides of the world, when we were together it felt increasingly like home.

Recently, we took the next step in our journey and moved to Sonoma, a place where we can further immerse ourselves in the world we love—surrounded by vineyards, natural beauty, and the community we cherish. And of course, our loyal companion, Trooper, has been with us every step of the way, adding even more joy to our lives.

As we look ahead to our future, we’re excited to continue this incredible journey together, building a life filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. We’re thrilled to have you be a part of our story, and we can’t wait to share what comes next.
