Ceremony starts at 2PM. Please try to be early/ on time. If you arrive after 2PM, please wait until after the procession to be seated.

Parking

Open parking lot including handicap parking. There is a drop off and pick up zone in front of the church.

Mass Etiquette

This will be a full Catholic mass, meaning it will be an hour long. The priest will also explain every step of the way! Please feel free to join in with the singing and prayers. Cleighton

Cleighton's parents are Keri Carter and Jason Schedule. Cleighton has two younger brothers and two younger sisters -- Mason, Ethan, Lexi, and Zoe. His grandparents are Jimmy and Ruby Carter and William and Regina Schedule. Cleighton is from a small town near Tyler, TX called Grand Saline. He grew up playing sports and the saxophone. He played football and basketball, but he fell in love with baseball. He continued to play baseball in high school and made a name for himself. He excelled in Band, where he became known as the Human metronome. He was the drum major for his high school band. Cleighton moved to the big city and met the girl of his dreams.

Mireya

Mireya's parents are Roxanna and Roger Galindo. Mireya has one younger sister -- Thalia, and many cousins that she considers besties. Her grandparents are Dolores Galindo and Ramiro Monetz and Hope and late grandfather, Mario De Los Santos. Mireya is a military brat. Her dad's service allowed her to experience snow in Kentucky and Arkansas and pizza and wine in Italy. She grew up playing sports and playing the violin. She played soccer, swam, and attempted gymnastics in her younger days. She grew up away from her extended family and knew she wanted to come back to Texas. Her desire to come back to be with her family led her to St. Mary's University, where she met her forever & always.

Cleighton had transferred to St. Marys University from UTSA. He was considered a first-year, and he was living in DO Hall. Mireya happened to be one of the RAs in charge of DO and Lourdes Hall. Cleighton was sitting in the hall, and Mireya was working her first shift that year. She was doing her rounds, and she noticed Cleighton. They talked for hours and continued talking for hours whenever they saw each other. They had a connection that was unheard of. Cleighton exclaimed to his friends that they would be something more. Mireya told her mom, Oh, we’re just friends, but she knew they were something more. They started their journey of love on April 29, 2018. They have accomplished many things in their five years together. Cleighton graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, and Mireya graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in May 2020. Cleighton continued his education at Texas State University in their Higher Education program. He received his Masters in Student Affairs and Higher Education in May 2022. He took his knowledge and skills to Trinity University, where he works as their Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator. Mireya waited to continue her education but finally completed her MBA at UTRGV in December 2023. She currently works at a tissue bank impacting the biomedical field. Aside from their academic accomplishments, they have traveled, experienced concerts, and created amazing memories together. Cleighton popped the question on a sunny Saturday afternoon on June 24, 2023. His family was in town, and Cleighton told them they were going to Boerne for a farmers market. They got all done up and ready to enjoy the market. Mireya, being gullible and always ready to run with the punches, didnt ask too many questions. Cleighton crafted a plan to get her to St. Mary’s before “going” to the market. For those of you who dont know, the bell tower holds a special symbol for love. If you walk under the bell tower with the one you love, it means you will be with them forever. Cleighton casually walked Mireya under the tower, where he had a marry me sign against the bell tower. Cleighton told Mireya to turn around so she could see the sign, and when she turned back around, he was on one knee. With tears of joy in her eyes, she exclaimed, Yes! They will say I DO on August 31, 2024, and begin a new journey together as one!
