It all began at Ransom Church. Miriam had been attending for a few years and was part of the worship team, leading others in praise. Cody first noticed her while she was leading worship, captivated by her heart for the Lord and her radiant spirit.

After a worship night at the church, Cody invited Miriam to go rock climbing. However, Miriam injured her finger trying to crush a pop can to impress a friend. Nervous about climbing the next day, she canceled, leaving Cody wondering if she was trying to politely back out. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.

Instead, they went on a coffee date at Coffea, and it was during that time that God made it abundantly clear He had a plan for their lives. Miriam was drawn to Cody’s God-honoring heart, servant spirit, and deep reverence for the Lord. Cody fell for Miriam’s kindness, humor, and her infectious energy for serving others.
