Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We currently have a hotel room block at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa. You can find the link to book a room and other important info in the Travel section of this website.
What other hotels are in the area?
The Barns at Cooper-Molera is located in downtown Monterey and is within walking distance of several hotels.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Monterey weather is mild all year long. The average high is the 60s most of the year with lows around 50 each night.
Make sure to pack plenty of layers for your stay. The weather is still very mild as the cool ocean breezes and fog control the temperatures.
With cool temperatures all year long and moderate humidity, you will find that you will need to pack for the changing weather during your stay. It's cool and breezy most mornings, so you'll need something a little warmer like a light jacket, windbreaker or light sweater or a combination of those.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
The ceremony will take place at San Carlos Cathedral located at 500 Church St. Monterey, CA 93940
The reception will be held a few blocks from the cathedral at the Barns at Cooper Molera located at 535 Polk St. Monterey, CA 93940
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony will be held indoors. The reception dinner might be held outside in a courtyard which may be cool at night.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can spend time on their own before heading to the reception at the Barns at 4PM where we will begin with a welcome reception serving hors d'oeuvres and beverages.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
What should I do if I can’t make it?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
Are kids welcome?
Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them all at the venue due to limited seating. We hope you are able to join us anyway and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family! Exceptions will be made for the wedding party and as space allows.
Can I bring a plus one?
We would love for you to bring a guest, but this is a very intimate affair. Please contact us directly with questions regarding dates.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
There are several parking lots and street parking within walking distance of The Barns. Some lots charge $7.00 for a 24-hour period.
We are closest to the Downtown area garages and lots, specifically the section called “Downtown East.”
