Change in Wedding and Hotel Accomodations
Dear Family and Friends,
We recently received unexpected news that our original wedding venue, Dream Las Mareas, is being sold and will no longer be able to host our wedding as planned. Since receiving this notification, we’ve been working diligently to secure an alternative, and we are excited to share that we have officially moved our wedding to El Mangroove Resort in Costa Rica.

All reservations must be confirmed by April 15th, 2025. At that point the negotiated room rate will expire.
All wedding dates remain the same, and all guests will fly into the same airport as originally planned.
Due to this change, we were unable to secure an all-inclusive resort. Instead, we have arranged hotel accommodations at El Mangroove, which includes daily breakfast at the same nightly rate as the lowest-tier room at our previous venue. The cost for a 3-night stay (July 10th to July 13th) is approximately $1,500. You will also have access to bikes, yoga classes, the spa, steam room, and internet throughout your stay.
We know that you have already committed your time and finances to celebrating with us, and we truly appreciate it. We sincerely hope this adjustment won’t impact your ability to attend, but if it does, we completely understand and will respect any changes to your plans.
How to cancel your reservations:
- If you used our code, we will be cancelling directly with the hotel for you. All deposits will be returned within 3-5 business days
- If you booked through a hotel aggregator website, please reach out to them to cancel and state that the Dreams Las Mareas resort will be closing. They will communicate with the hotel and cancel the reservations for a full refund

IMPORTANT: Since there has been a change in wedding venue, there now is a room block. Please use the link below to reserve your room. Now that there is a room block, it is important that everyone utilize the link available to book accommodations.
The accommodations have changed from all-inclusive to breakfast included for all rooms.
We suggest that all of our guests fly in on Thursday evening, July 10th and leave on Sunday, July 13.
Air Travel to Costa Rica and Transportation to Hotel
All guest should fly to Liberia airport in Costa Rica. This is an international airport with direct service from cities across the United States.
Upon arrival in Libera, there will be many taxi services ready to take you to El Mangroove resort on the beach. We recommend that you have approximately $100 USD in cash available to pay the taxi drivers.
This place is safe! Don't worry too much about the shape of the vehicle or the fact that the cars may not have verified taxi logs on it. That is not common in Costa Rica.
