The 1st time Misty saw Lukas was when she was with her friend (who had a crush on Lukas) and Misty was trying to help set them up when they were 14. Misty and Lukas continued to be around each other for the next several years because Lukas was friends with Misty's cousins.

The 4th of July weekend of 2016 , Lukas and Misty's friendship began. Over the next few months, they started to get to know each other. As fate would have it, Misty really needed a date to her junior prom, and she somehow convinced Lukas to go with her. A month after Lukas barely made it through prom night, they both realized they wanted to make it official.

Living an hour apart, Misty and Lukas made use of every weekend together they could. They both got comfortable with each other's families, friends, and learned to love one another. They graduated high school in 2018 and now had to navigate "adulthood" Both Misty and Lukas went to college at different schools. During this time, they grew as individuals and as a couple.

After college, Misty and Lukas were back working in their hometowns. Life started settling down and Misty and Lukas decided to do the same. Lukas bought his 1st house and they moved in. They started establishing their life together and navigating through each other's quirks, such as Lukas stealing the covers every night and Misty never doing the dishes.

Misty begged Lukas to take the next step in their relationship. After a year of waiting, Lukas finally agreed, and they got their best friend...Kyro. Having a puppy together showed Misty and Lukas a new part of their relationship. Kyro is a big part of their lives now being a family of 3 and Lukas wanted to use that to his advantage.

After 6 1/2 LONG years, Lukas decided to put a ring on it. Misty came home after work and Kyro greeted her as usual, but with a surprise. A new bandana hung around his neck. Misty wrangled Kyro enough to read the bandana, looked up and Lukas took a knee with a ring in his hand.

Misty and Lukas cannot wait to start the rest of their lives together and continue to bully their best friend forever.
