Our Wedding

Edgar and Miya’s love story began in high school when they met through a mutual friend. They were just acquaintances at first, sharing passing moments in the busy hallways. But everything changed when Edgar noticed Miya sitting alone at lunch. After a few days of seeing Miya by herself, he gathered the courage to ask her to join him and his friends for lunch. From that moment, their friendship became something special and they were inseparable. They ended up in the same English class, where their constant chatter led to a few stern looks from their teacher and even a seating change. Their shared laughter and secrets only made them closer. After a year of being friends, Edgar asked Miya to their junior homecoming. That night marked the beginning of a deeper relationship. On November 14, 2020, Edgar officially asked Miya to be his girlfriend. As their love grew, Miya and Edgar moved out together after finding their own cozy apartment. There, they have built a life together with their beloved dog, Lucy Lou. Each day, they find new reasons to fall in love over and over again. Miya always believed in the power of friendship before love, and their story is proof of that. Despite trying to deny their feelings at first, their undeniable connection brought them together in a way neither could resist. A highlight of their love story came during their vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii. On Honl’s Beach, with a picnic dinner and a breathtaking sunset, Edgar proposed to Miya on May 12, 2024. It was a moment filled with joy, love, and the promise of a beautiful future together. Now, as they prepare for their wedding on August 29, 2025, Miya and Edgar look back on their journey feeling grateful and excited for all that lies ahead. Their story is a beautiful reminder that true love often starts with the simplest gestures and the strongest friendships.

We kindly ask that all guests follow a dress code for our wedding to create an elegant and cohesive look. This will ensure everyone looks amazing in the photos, and it can also help if you're unsure what to wear! Our dress code includes a classic &amp; elegant palette: primarily black &amp; white. Shades of grey are also acceptable. We kindly request that all guests dress elegantly for our special day. Ladies, please refrain from wearing white. Please wear cocktail dresses, formal dresses, or pantsuits/similar.Gentlemen, please wear suits, or dress shirts with trousers/similar. White dress shirts are permitted. Black tie is optional but encouraged. We look forward to seeing you dressed up!
