Our Story

Kalpana's story

She was dreaming of a man that would be the love of her life. She wanted a man in Christ, able to honour and love God as well as her, cherish her for life and respect her in what she is. Having prayed and waited for years for the love of her life, God brought her to him in a surprising way. She is now ready by God's help, to be his best friend, and one true love, to encourage, inspire and truly love through good and bad times. To laugh and lift up when he is down and to love unconditionally through the adventures in life together that God has kept for them.

Mohit's story

"Yes that's it!! This is the one who completes me, she is the missing part of me!!"

This one, at last, is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.

He has been praying, thinking, loving her years before they even met and knew each other. The wait sometimes was not easy but God in His perfect plan, timing and way brought her to him in surprise. His prayers for her was that God would keep her safe in Him and hold her close to His heart, and bring in His perfect will. Through the course of time God has prepared him to love, cherish and serve her, just like Christ does to His bride, His church. Promising his deepest love, fullest devotion, tenderest care, always living for God first and then for her.

Jab we met

The day they met was brought together by their parents and relatives but God had planned this day long, long, long ago. It was Saturday, the 30th of May 2015. As a typical Indian arrange marriage, Mohit with his parents, sisters and relatives went to see her, he was blank at the time and had no idea what would happen, maybe out of nervousness, but His principles we clear to him and his family about choosing a life partner. There comes Kalpana, simply dressed yet was stunningly beautiful. Mohit and Kalpana got a chance to talk with each other. That was one of the best conversations both had, they laughed, smiled, making fun of each other, had discussion about God, marriage, exchanged views about it and shared their testimonies and callings. It went for about half an hour. That night apparently, Kalpana couldn't sleep as she was running the conversation tape in her mind. After couple of days both of their parents asked Kalpana and Mohit about their views respectively, and they both were willing to marry each other. During the time, they both were praying and asking God to reveal His will and guess what? It was yes from God at the first place.

Our aim

We want our life and marriage to look less like the world and more like Christ.

What we want in our marriage?

Marriage is a wonderful thing God created. In fact, God revealed His amazing love through marriage, displaying the relationship within The Trinity and His love towards us, which can be seen everywhere in The Holy Bible especially on the cross.

We want to love each other in Christ. We understand marriage is not a bed of roses or heart shaped balloons flying around, but that it is hard, we want to leave behind the things that would hinder us and cling towards God and each other, forgiving, understanding and loving each other, and work on it everyday.

We want to serve each other just as Christ served.

We want to learn more about each other so that we can understand and look at each other through God's eyes.

We want Christ to be the foundation of our marriage.

We want Christ to be the center of our marriage.

We want to follow Paul's instructions,

"Wives, submit to your own husbands as to the Lord, for the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church."

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word."

We want to display God's love, His grace through our lives and marriage.

We want to be vulnerable to each other, hiding nothing from each other.

We want our life and marriage to look less like the world and more like Christ.

Love is....

Love is patient, love is kind.
Love does not envy,
is not boastful, is not conceited,
does not act improperly,
is not selfish, is not provoked,
and does not keep a record of wrongs.
Love finds no joy in unrighteousness
but rejoices in the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

(1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a, 13, The Holy Bible)
