Our Wedding

Ben and Mollie's story began with a blind date set up by two very close friends. It started&nbsp;as a late night conversation on&nbsp;Beale Street in August 2015 between&nbsp;Mollie and&nbsp;her&nbsp;good&nbsp;friends from college Jordy and Jessica Z.&nbsp;They insisted she&nbsp;must meet Ben, but Mollie was not going to give in so easily. So, after a few days of social media research (a.k.a. stalking) she decided that Ben checked out and gave Jordy the green light to make the introduction.

A few days passed before&nbsp;Ben FINALLY&nbsp;sent that first text. And what a text it was! It was filled with corny jokes (you will have to get Ben to tell you the one about the USS&nbsp;Alabama...), awkward expressions, but all&nbsp;with&nbsp;genuine intent. This was enough to earn a date.











They had their&nbsp;first date at Mollie Fontaine's --&nbsp;yes Mollie with an "ie."&nbsp;Ben picked Mollie up from her apartment above The BBQ&nbsp;Shop on Madison. By the way,&nbsp;if you are ever in Memphis, you can find some of the best pulled pork there. They sat in front of the piano, talking about everything you are told not to on a first date: politics, religion,&nbsp;money, etc. Later Mollie would find out this was all part of Ben's master plan. If you can agree or agree to disagree&nbsp;on the important things then you have a fighting chance. 











Since their&nbsp;first date, Mollie and Ben's&nbsp;story has been filled with love, friendship, passion&nbsp;and joy. They continue to laugh at each other's corny jokes and never take for granted each other's company. The next chapter in their life together will be even more exciting and they are both thrilled to start it with each of you!

How We Met

I had made "plans" for Mollie and I to have dinner with some friends at one of our favorite restaurants in Memphis, Catherine & Mary's on Friday, February 23rd. Prior to dinner we had planned to grab a cocktail on our way downtown at the&nbsp;spot we first met, Mollie Fontaine's. This was not out of the ordinary since we had been there several times for similar reasons since our first date. From what I remember she was not suspicious of my plan at this point. As we made our way past the table where we first met and approached&nbsp;the front patio, I dropped on one knee and asked her to&nbsp;marry me.&nbsp;She said YES! I think... Neither of us&nbsp;really remember exactly what was said,&nbsp;but we are here aren't we!&nbsp;
