Our Wedding

“I will love you until the stars go out, and the tide no longer turns.” During college, Mollie traveled between Missouri, Texas and Tennessee pursuing her Bachelor’s degree. All the while, Dylan was warming up to living in Texas having just moved from Tulsa, and had no idea his future wife's family lived only a few minutes down the road. Mollie and Dylan met at church in early 2020. It wasn't until late fall of that year that they turned from acquaintances to friends to something more. After months of getting to know each other over Monday night ultimate frisbee with their church's young adults group, Dylan finally asked Mollie to coffee in December. Coffee dates turned to dinner and movie dates turned to concert dates, as the two spent hours in conversation about country music, family, the future, and getting to know all they could about each other. It wasn't long until the two knew they wanted to last. By June 2021, Dylan was ready to buy a ring and ask Mollie to marry him. While in the midst of preparing to join her family on vacation in Orange Beach, he was also planning a proposal. On a Thursday three days before leaving for vacation, Dylan visited the jewelry store and bought a ring, but the setting for the ring had to be custom made and rush ordered to Dallas. Unsure of when the piece would actually arrive, the jeweler devised a plan that covered all of the bases. The owner of the jewelry store is Jewish, so they would have to work around his sabbath. The plan that stood the best chance was for Dylan to drive to Dallas and pick up the finished ring from the owner’s house around midnight on Saturday before leaving for the beach early Sunday morning.&nbsp; Friday morning, Dylan received a phone call saying the setting was lost in the mail and unable to be located. As Dylan was on the phone slightly panicking and processing the bad news, the delivery driver arrived at the jewelry store with the setting. Dylan was working every day between purchasing the ring and leaving for the beach, so he had no way of actually picking up the ring from the store. The ring was customized and ready by Friday night, so Mollie and Dylan’s good friends Lily and Julian drove to Dallas around 7:00 pm, picked up the ring and got it in Dylan’s hands. By the grace of God and John (best jeweler ever), Dylan managed to get the custom ring in 24 hours and pulled off a beautiful proposal. The two are so excited to start their life together and plan to live in the Dallas area after getting married. Then whatever the future holds!
