Mollie and Drew met like many do - over hot dogs and beer.

When Mollie moved to Nashville in the fall of 2020, she had no idea that befriending Vanderbilt graduates would lead to meeting her future husband! In an effort to live intentionally in community, one of the couples decided to create and host Hot Dog Tuesday: a night of fellowship where friends get together to enjoy thematic hotdogs and each other's company.

It was during one of these gatherings that Mollie had the pleasure of sitting down next to Drew. While sipping on beer at a local brewery, Mollie found herself engaged in conversation with a lively stranger who took an interest in her life. Drew left and called his mom to tell her about this fascinating girl he met and how interested he was in who she was and her story. Mollie left wondering why this boy didn't ask for her number. At the end of the day nothing came of it.

After the sudden passing of Drew’s mom, Mollie signed up to take Drew a meal. When she brought spaghetti, it was a great surprise for him because of how much he loved his mom’s recipe. Drew finally realized it was time to take her on a date. He asked her on an ice cream date and after 6 hours of laughter, honesty, and most importantly, faith, they have not looked back.

After a few weeks filled with many dates, Drew asked Mollie to be his girlfriend on June 1st, 2023. The next year was filled with more love and joy than the two could've imagined. While navigating the highs and lows of life, the two cultivated a relationship rooted in God, championing the growth of one another above all things. Therefore, on June 7th, 2024, when Drew asked Mollie to be his wife, she couldn't have been more excited to say "YES!"

Drew’s favorite thing about Mollie is her ability to communicate and her desire to complement one another's strengths. Mollie’s favorite thing about Drew is his loving approach to others, his charisma, and his willingness to work together to better their relationship. They can’t imagine life without the other and can’t wait to share their love with all their loved ones.
