How long am I meant to be in Croatia?

As long as you like! We will be in Hvar 15th- 20th September, we would love for you to spend this whole time with us and have plans to meet up with everyone to do different things each day. However, you dont have to be involved in any of the wedding festivities! You can come and go as you please and stay in Hvar for as long as you like. Of course, it's your holiday too. Having you at the wedding alone means the world to us and anything extra is a bonus!

When are the flights available to book?

FLIGHTS ARE AVAILABLE TO BOOK NOW! We have booked: Monday 15th September, Bristol- Split. 6am (lands 9.35am) Seats 14B & 14C. Sunday 21st Split- Bristol 10.35am (lands 12.20pm) Seats 14B & 14C. Split is the closest airport to Hvar (1hr ferry) but you can also fly into Dubrovnik (approx 3 hour ferry.) If getting the flight home from Split, the earliest ferry from Hvar doesn't get into Split until 8.30am (ferry port is 40 minute drive from the airport) so you may need to consider staying in Split the night before your flight.

Where shall I stay?

The Bride, Groom and Brides family are staying in apartments near the Ceremony venue. This is in the centre of Hvar. Hvar isn't very big so you will pretty much always be within walking distance of us/ bars etc if you book somewhere central to Hvar town. If you're unsure search for somewhere near the Franciscan Monestry (Ceremony Venue) or Hotel Park Hvar (Reception Venue.) These 2 venues are a 5 minute walk from each other, and in the town centre. Hotels are limited and quite expensive, your best bets will most likely be to check Air B n B or Booking.com for apartments etc. If you'd like to stay at the reception venue 'Hotel Park Hvar' please let me know and I can arrange this with a slight discount, depending how many rooms are booked. I also have a discount code for all the hotels on the Island if you would still prefer to stay at a hotel. We are happy to provide you with a list of accommodation upon request. However, anywhere central Hvar will be near us. But of course you're welcome to stay further out if you'd like.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, only the people listed on your invitation are on the list for the wedding day. Our dream day is small and intimate, with our closest people there. There are friends and family which we have not invited ourselves. Of course, you are welcome to bring whoever you like on your holiday, we appreciate we cannot tell you who to bring on holiday with you! Although, we apologise but they will not be invited to the wedding day.

What is the dress code on the wedding day?

We do request that despite our wedding being abroad you still wear similar wedding attire that you'd wear at a summer UK wedding. There is a short 5 minute walk along the beautiful harbour in between ceremony and reception, please keep this in mind. Please could we ask that women refrain from wearing anything white/ ivory or cream. We would also ask that women try to avoid wearing bronze or blue. And that men avoid wearing shorts or polo shirts, but full suits are not necessary. If possible we ask men to try to avoid a warm stone colour suit, (other neutrals are fine.)

What time will we be eating on the wedding day?

Please ensure you have a late, hearty breakfast on the day of the wedding. Or breakfast and lunch. Due to the heat, we are having a later wedding and we will not be eating until approximately 6.30pm. There will be small canapes in the afternoon.

Do I need to bring confetti?

Please do not bring your own confetti. We are only allowed a specific type of confetti at our venue so this will be provided for you.

What can I get you as a gift?

The presence of our friends and family in Croatia is the greatest gift. We honestly mean that. We appreciate the money and effort required to attend an abroad wedding and are forever greatful. If you however insist on giving a gift we would greatly appreciate a contribution towards our minimoon to the Scarlet.

Do you have any Hvar hints and tips?

We do! We highly recommend bringing cash, a lot of places offer a discount for cash payments. Euros is the Croatia currency. You can also drink the tap water in Hvar! It can get slightly chilly in the evenings.
