Molly's POV
We met in high school, and I really didn’t like him at first. In fact, I hated him — but I suppose that's how all great love stories start, right? Fast forward a year, and I didn’t even remember the first time we officially met. Yet somehow, we ended up in the same study hall. On the first day of sophomore year, I came home and noticed a DM on Instagram from someone I didn’t recognize. It said, “Hey, you probably don’t know who I am, but I think you're really gorgeous.”
Well, who would have thought that message would lead to this? From that moment on, we were inseparable. Before I knew it, we were talking every day, and you had me sneaking out in the mornings so you could pick me up in your brother’s truck to go to school. I still remember begging my mom to go with you to buy a calculator for school, which turned into our very first date.
From that day forward, it didn’t take long for me to realize you weren’t just some high school fling — you were my forever. We spent the next few years going to endless football games, prom, homecoming, and countless date nights. We graduated high school in the most 2020 way possible — a COVID drive-up graduation. But even with all the restrictions and time spent apart, we made it through. Our relationship stayed strong, even when we couldn’t physically be together, proving that nothing could keep us from each other.
After graduation, we dove into full-time jobs and school, and through all the ups and downs, we stayed by each other’s sides.
Through all our adventures, family outings, and parties, we realized that neither of us were going anywhere. We were each other’s missing puzzle piece, and life just wasn’t complete without the other.
Then, on July 5th, 2024, in Arizona, on the balcony of his parents' house — in the exact same spot he gave me my promise ring three years earlier — Josh asked me to be his forever. In that moment, I knew we were about to start the most exciting chapter of our love story. And now, the planning for our forever together begins…
