We’ve known each other since middle school, but our real story began in high school. When I first met Tyler, I knew there was something different about him. He’s a total goofball — always making me laugh — and he has such a genuine, kind heart.

Tyler says that back then, he saw me as the “popular girl” who was beautiful and out of his league… but that never stopped him from talking to me. He even asked me out our freshman year of high school, but I said no. (Sorry, Tyler!) He was pretty upset and thought I had played with his feelings, but even then, God was writing a story that neither of us could see yet.

During my sophomore year, I joined the tennis team and became best friends with his older sister, Vicki. I started spending a lot of time at their house, and before long, Tyler and I became really close friends. God slowly began to heal the awkwardness between us and replace it with a strong friendship built on laughter, understanding, and trust.

After about a year and a half of being best friends, we both realized there was something more there. Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend, and from that point on, our relationship grew into something we both knew was special — not perfect, but full of grace and love.

We dated for almost three years, growing closer to each other and to God. Over time, it became clear that He had been guiding our steps all along. One day, Tyler asked me to marry him — and with so much joy in my heart, I said yes!

Now we’re so excited to begin this new chapter together, grateful for how the Lord brought us from childhood friends to lifelong partners. We can’t wait to see all that God has in store for our future as husband and wife.
