After meeting in 2019 at Colorado State University, Daniel's senior year and Molly's freshman year, the two became friends but lost touch in March 2020. Then, 2 years and 5 months later at a Christian singles dance event in Downtown Denver, they reconnected and became fast friends. Upon spending more time together, they began dating and fell in love. December 29, 2023, Daniel proposed and Molly said "YES!"
