Johan and Molly met in early 2021 on a dating app called Tinder. They apparently talked for a couple of days until Molly ghosted Johan. Molly doesn’t remember any of this. Fast forward six months or so and they matched again, this time on Hinge. Molly was a little unsure about dating a guy, not only more than an hour away, but living in Rutland no less. She however couldnt say no to the since improved dating profile - now including a shirtless, paddle boarding thirst trap.


After chatting for a few days, Molly and Johan tested the waters with a virtual first date July 30th, 2021. The date went swimmingly and they made plans to meet up the following day for a hike in Montpelier. Unfortunately Johan mountain biked that morning and met Molly sweaty and exhausted. Far worse, he suffered a catastrophic leg cramp and embarrassingly hobbled for most of the hike. Despite this, Molly agreed to continue the date where they sat under a tree on the State House lawn talking for several hours and sharing their first kiss.


Johan and Molly dated long-distance between Rutland and Montpelier for over a year. They found they had so much in common between outdoor summer and winter sports, a shared sense of humor, and an apparent love of long drives twice a week. On Sept. 23rd, 2021 Johan maturely asked Molly, will you be my girlfriend? to which she graciously said yes. They met each others families that winter and admitted their love for one another in Vandée, Quebec over the holidays.


In November, 2022 Johan was relocated to a position in Montpelier which finally allowed them to move in together! After realizing they couldnt imagine ever living apart Molly and Johan, without hesitation, jumped at the opportunity to purchase their first home together in Duxbury on December 6th, 2023.


On November 24th, 2023 Johan proposed to Molly under the same tree where they had their first kiss. Molly said yes, they proceeded to celebrate too much, and fell asleep that night fully clothed on top of their bed.

Le rendez-vous virtuel du 30 juin 2021 à donner lieu à une rencontre car le rendez-vous sest très bien passé. Ils ont donc prévu de partir en randonnée à Montpellier le lendemain. Malheureusement, Johan a fait du vélo de montagne ce matin-là et a rencontré Molly, totalement épuisée et en sueur. Encore pire, il a souffert
une crampe catastrophique à sa jambe et a boîté la majorité de la randonnée. Malgré tout, Molly accepte de continuer le rendez-vous alors quil se sont allongés sous un arbre sur le terrain de la State House où ils ont discuté durant plusieurs heures et ont partagé un premier baiser.


Johan et Molly se sont fréquenté à longue distance entre Rutland et Montpelier durant plus dun an. Ils ont remarqué quils avaient tant en commun, dont les sports dhiver et dété, un sens de l’humour commun et évidemment un amour des longs trajets en voiture deux fois par semaine. Le 23 septembre 2021, Johan a demandé de façon mature à Molly si elle voulait être sa blonde, où elle a gracieusement dit oui. Ils ont rencontré leurs familles respectives cet hiver et ont avoué leur amour à Vendée durant les fêtes.


En novembre 2022, Johan a été relocalisé à un poste à Montpelier, ce qui les a permis de déménager ensemble. Après avoir réalisé quils ne pouvait plus simaginer de vivre sans lautre, sans hésitation, ils ont sauté à lopportunité dacheter leur première maison ensemble à Duxbury, le 6 décembre 2023.


12 jours plus tôt, Johan a demandé la main de Molly sous le même arbre où ils ont eu leur premier baiser. Molly a dit oui, ils ont par la suite célébré trop fort et se sont endormis entièrement habillés par-dessus les couvertures.
