Our Story

If you ask Josh...

our story began on a chill spring evening after my buddy Connor said there is a bonfire out in Woodlawn and I should go. Before this I would never go out nor would I even leave the house for anything. Well he convinced me to go and that changed everything. I had a great time and had fun talking and drinking with friends. After this bonfire I had added Molly on snapchat and we ended up talking ever since. One night after work Molly calls me and was at LMU which is 3 and a half hours away. She asked me to come and hangout and drink with her and friends. I contemplated and ended up going because I thought it would look good for me and move me up the leaderboard. Well I got there and was spam calling her and she never picked up. Luckily, her friend Amanda was there and let me in or I would have had to sleep in my car due to Molly being dead asleep. Well after we started dating I pretty much knew she was the one. I would have dropped on a knee since day one. When I was on deployment I had plenty of time to think about it. I thought about what better place than Rome. I first had to get the ring which I had to chase down in several countries to get. Then I had to get the photographer. Then I had to make the moment happen. Now we are set to get married and I am the luckiest man alive. I can not wait to say I DO.

If you ask Molly...

our story started at a bonfire in the back yard of my parents’ house. I was home for a weekend from nursing school and Josh had just returned home from a deployment. We had shared a mutual friend group for over a year but had never spoken or met in person. On one random weekend in April (April 16th, 2022 to be exact) the timing was just right and our story began. The bonfire was not the only thing burning, "our love sparked".

We began dating June 2nd, 2022 after a summer of memory making and growing closer. In our free time we enjoyed playing games until I won and josh didn’t want to play anymore, traveling until I gave the wrong directions and we missed our exit, and going on date nights. God blessed me with the love of my life, then the military stole him from me for 10 months to Europe. During this time, we did our best to keep the magic alive with lots of phone calls and dates over the phone. We got to travel together for 2 short trips in Europe where during the second one he finally put a ring on it. You know what they say… absence makes the heart grow fonder and in my case the diamond bigger. On January 20th 2024 in Rome, Italy in front of the colosseum Josh asked me to marry him. This was the easiest decision I had ever made (if you know me you know I hate making decisions). We are so excited to start the next chapter of our story as husband and wife.
