Our Wedding

<p>I met Ben during Freshmen Orientation at Harding University. I caught him looking at me a few times, and he finally came up to say hello after a devo on the Benson steps. We had a class together when school started, and we ended up hanging out with friends several times. We would also study in the library together. We became fast friends. Finally, one day I asked him to go to Sonic with me, but he did not know I wanted it to be a date. So he brought his roommate with him. Ben finally caught on to the fact that I liked him, and he asked me out on a real date. Our first real date was at Greek House in Searcy. We quickly became best friends and enjoyed hanging out with each other. He met my family, and I went to visit his family over Christmas Break. After that, we continued to date at school, go on Sonic runs, take Bible classes together, study abroad together, and spend one summer working together at Woodson Church of Christ in Nashville. During junior year on April 20th, 2024, Ben asked me to marry him in the place where we first met: the Benson steps. I'm so excited to marry my best friend, and I know wherever God leads us next, it will be for His glory.</p>

Her Side

<p>My first memories of Molly start before we even met... During orientation freshman year at Harding, there was this girl that kept staring at me. Everywhere my roommate, Ryan, and I went she was there staring at me. There was even one time in the cafeteria where I was sitting with my back to her and her friends, and I told Ryan that I could feel her staring. She was, in fact, staring. I later found out that she was “eyeball flirting." I officially met Molly by coincidence at a devo on the Benson steps the night before classes started. Ryan and I happened to sit next to Molly and her roommate, and I thought that I might as well introduce myself. Also, I thought she was cute so that helped. It turned out that we had Wellness class together and on the first day I got there after her, but somehow on the second day she ended up sitting by me. After that, we slowly started hanging out by going to the library together to “study,” and we eventually started going on dates. Molly is very bold and often impatient: two things that I have grown to love about her. She was so impatient that on the day I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend, she just flat out asked me, “so what are we?” Looking back, I was moving a little slow and needed the push. From that day on, Molly has continued to push me to be a better person and there is nobody that I would rather spend the rest of my life with.&nbsp;</p>
