When is the wedding?
Our wedding will be on August 2nd, 2025. The ceremony is at 5:30 pm, followed by a reception at 6:30 pm.
What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Quad City Botanical Center. The address is 2525 4th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201. The location is wheelchair accessible.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
As long as the weather is good, the ceremony will be outdoors. The reception will be inside a temperature controlled tent. In case of rain, we have a backup plan to hold the wedding inside the botanical garden!
Where should I stay?
We have provided a list of recommended hotels & lodging in the Travel page of our site! We recommend staying in Davenport, Bettendorf, or Rock Island. We will be staying at Hotel Blackhawk in Downtown Davenport, but guests are welcome to stay at another hotel, Airbnb, or Vrbo nearby.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is semi-formal/dressy casual attire. For this time of year in Illinois, may we suggest the following attire:
Women: cocktail-length dress or dressy/lightweight separates, sundresses, and flats, sandals, or heels appropriate for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn.
Men: light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional.
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Yes! We'd love to see your photos, so be sure to tag us and/or use the hashtag #MollyAndGayleGetHitched
What type of food and drinks will be served at your wedding?
We will be serving a buffet with a selection of meat, fish, vegetarian dishes and salads. We will also have an open bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options.
Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?
Yes! The Quad Cities has a lot of great restaurants, bars, museums and places to explore! Checkout www.visitquadcities.com for ideas. More information can be found on the "Things to Do" page. Also, feel free to reach out to Molly for suggestions of things to do and places to eat!
What health and safety measures will be in place?
As we continue to navigate the aftermath of the pandemic, it's crucial to address the health and safety of our guests. If you are sick, please stay home. We love you, but we don't want any of our elderly and/or immune-compromised guests to get sick.
Where will wedding updates be posted?
All updates will be posted here on our wedding website and/or sent out to guests via email.
