Our Wedding

January 27th, 2017 : Boy meets girl. Girl makes eye contact across the bar. Both boy and girl&nbsp;make no attempt to speak to one another, and end up going their separate ways. Cut to a few hours later as the end of the night rolled in, boy and girl spot each other&nbsp;&nbsp;at an Irish pub&nbsp;in&nbsp;downtown San Mateo. Girl&nbsp;asks boy "what took you so long to talk to me?" (bold move).&nbsp;Girl also asks boy to dance.&nbsp;Boy reluctantly agrees (after a few drinks). They exchange numbers. Boy asks girl to a fun Mexican restaurant for&nbsp;lunch&nbsp;two days later.&nbsp;The first date was a success which led&nbsp;to boy and girl exchanging&nbsp;many phone calls, text messages, and exciting&nbsp;date nights.&nbsp; Flash forward to months later with&nbsp;becoming "official"&nbsp;and&nbsp;the first "I love you's." Then months after that was&nbsp;moving in together, multiple Lebron arguments, and&nbsp;trips to the San Francisco&nbsp;Giants /&nbsp;San Jose&nbsp;Sharks games.&nbsp;The infamous cave of *please just go to one*&nbsp;Warriors game&nbsp;excursion for Christmas. Not to mention all the amazing&nbsp;vacation&nbsp;trips ---&nbsp;New York, Boston, Texas, Chicago and Puerto Vallarta and back to the groom's home, the state of Washington.&nbsp; What started out as a spontaneous "girl's night out,"&nbsp;turned into what I can best describe as "fate" meeting Jordan. I remember jokingly&nbsp;telling my sister in our Uber on our way to the bars downtown, "Maybe I'll meet my future husband tonight."&nbsp;2.5 years later,&nbsp;&nbsp;here we are.&nbsp;

December 22, 2018:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The day started out like any other. A brisk, chilly morning in Mukilteo,&nbsp;Washington,&nbsp;where we were spending the Christmas holidays early with Jordan's family. I woke up to the sound of Jordan rummaging around the room getting ready. He wanted to take me to the Sultan Bakery that he loved and that held a special place for him. I thought to myself, Really?&nbsp;It's too early for this.&nbsp;So, reluctantly, I told Jordan that I was going to sit this one out and stay behind. A flustered Jordan informed me that was NOT an option and I HAD to go with him and his brother.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Despite the hiccup start to the day, we enjoyed our breakfast at the quaint bakery and Jesse, Jordan's brother, drove us around Sultan showing me where they &nbsp;grew up. This nostalgic&nbsp;journey took us to their old childhood home, high school, and other places that sparked funny or memorable stories from the past. We concluded the trip with a stop at Big Eddy River in Gold Bar, another special place to Jordan and his upbringing.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Stepping out of the truck, I felt the cool breeze brush&nbsp;(okay, more like slap)&nbsp;across my face as I&nbsp;set my sight on the beautiful river ahead of me. Aside from us, there was a&nbsp;solo fisherman a few yards away, allowing&nbsp;the river to&nbsp;be&nbsp;a place&nbsp;for just us to enjoy. Jordan approached the fisherman a couple of times making small talk and asking questions about his luck with the fish and a *secret&nbsp;question* that I would&nbsp;soon find out.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Jesse had walked off down the river in the opposite direction and the fisherman, shortly after Jordan's last conversation, had packed his things up and headed down the river as well, out of view. It became just the two of us. Jordan pulled me closer, holding my hands in his,&nbsp;talking about our relationship and how much I meant to him over the past couple of years. His eyes began to well with tears as&nbsp;&nbsp;I felt&nbsp;my heart flutter&nbsp;in my chest. If I'm being honest, I blacked out what was being said to me until I watched Jordan drop to one knee and pull out a small dark grey box. Now I could hear my heart POUND&nbsp;in my chest and knees grow weak (great combo).&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

THIS. IS. HAPPENING! OH. MY. GOD!&nbsp;Jordan told me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Wiping back my steady stream of&nbsp;tears, I remember him asking, "Will you marry me?" To which I choked out "YES!" and fell to the rocks beneath me completely sobbing (clearly playing it really cool). We popped a bottle of&nbsp;champagne&nbsp;that Jordan had planned, accompanied by two flutes&nbsp;to celebrate this amazing moment.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

It was and still has been the best day of my life. Marrying Jordan will ultimately become the best and most exhilarating&nbsp;day&nbsp;of my life.&nbsp;I cannot wait to continue doing life with my best friend, confidant, partner-in-crime, and greatest supporter/fan. Xoxo

The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel is approximately 11 minutes away from the wedding venue, Palm Event Center. There will be two parking lots at the venue and Uber/Lyft are also options if you decide you are going to throw back a few!
