Our Wedding

Our first date was margs at Mission and we went our separate ways on the metro after. Our next few dates included golfing with Grace, mountain biking, surfing and camping. I quickly found out Chris can not only keep up, but beat me in most things. We found our perfect adventure buddy.

First dates 

Chris showed me all around DC. From early morning cherry blossom runs around the monuments to art exhibitions in Noma. 

Exploring DC

9 months into dating I left for Ranger school where they would shave my head and we could only communicate via letters. Chris wrote me every chance he had and kept me going through some of the hardest days of my life. When I came back bald he never once missed an opportunity to make me feel beautiful. The truest form of love is when man stays by your side when you’re bald and broken.

We take full advantage of living on the East coast with frequent road trips.

Chris proposed in Switzerland with my mom and great grandmothers ring. He decided to risk it and get on one knee on metal grates with 1000 foot drop in freezing temperatures holding a family heirloom.

Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a fan favorite in Steamboat! About 20 minutes out of the town lies these natural hot springs. Reservations are required, entry is $20 per person. You can book online through the website linked below. We recommend allowing yourself 3hrs for this activity.

Crooked Key Escape Rooms

This out-and-back trail offers breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls and lush alpine scenery. If the dirt trail is muddy, the upper paved scenic overlook offers spectacular views without the risk of damage to the lower trail.

Fly Fish the Yampa

For Mountain Biking:Spring Creek:&nbsp;Surrounded by stunning aspens and babbling creeks, the lower sections of this trail are a real treat to explore during mud season. Emerald Mountain:&nbsp;Whilst the higher elevation sections of Emerald Mountain are still covered in snow, the lower sections are nice and dry. The Bluffs Loop is perfect for beginner mountain bikers, with paths through enchanting aspen groves and along the Yampa River. For SnowShoeing: Rabbit Ears Pass is a popular snowsports location, and is a favorite among local Steamboat snowshoers. Follow nordic tracks along West Summit Loop 1A, weave through dense forests, and traverse across expansive meadows.We recommend visiting&nbsp;Ski Haus&nbsp;for snowshoe rentals.

Thursdays &amp; Sundays - WEATHER PERMITTING! Take the Gondola up to thunderhead lodge and enjoy a beautiful happy hour from 10,000ft! FOOD &amp; DRINKA full bar and light appetizers and snacks are available for purchase. PARKINGGuests are encouraged to park in the Upper Knoll parking lot(free). Paid parking is available in the Steamboat Square and Ski Time Square parking garages.

This charming location offers outdoor seating right at the edge of the Yampa River. From April 1st to April 13th, take advantage of the end-of-winter-season all night happy hour. Enjoy some of the best Italian food in the Yampa Valley! Mambo is one of the most popular restaurants in town and its know for its pizza, pasta and good vibes!
