Downtown Chicago, about a 40 minute drive from Lake Forest, is a destination of it's own. Take an architectural tour by boat, wander through the art museum or Field Museum, shop the Magnificent Mile, or catch a show at Second City. Drive yourself downtown or take the Metra Train from Lake Forest to the city (use the Milwaukee North line).
