Are there any city-wide events happening during your wedding weekend I should know about?
In fact, yes! The Chicago Marathon is taking place the day after our wedding. You're likely to see some action in the West Loop near the hotels, but we don't anticipate too many disruptions. We encourage booking your travel and accommodations as soon as you can! Our hotel blocks are linked in the travel section and likely will be the best rate for hotels in the West Loop area! Friday and Saturday morning will be the better days for any sightseeing you might be trying to do :)
Can I drive to the venue?
There is some parking available at the Refectory, but we highly encourage everyone to make use of the shuttles to and from the hotels, even if you're not staying there! There will be an option in the RSVP to sign up so we make sure there's enough space.
What is the dress code?
Cocktail attire, but feel free to wear whatever makes you feel wedding ready!
Will children be allowed at the reception?
Unfortunately this will be a young-kid-free wedding.
A note about Columbus Park Refectory
Given the coincidence of the name of the venue and the proximity to Indigenous Peoples' Day, we want to acknowledge that the wedding will be taking place on Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi land. We chose the venue because of its ties to the history of Chicago, not its namesake.
