How they met…
Mo and Abbey met freshman year, 2014, at Penn State. It was move in week and all the students were getting familiar with their new surroundings up on the secluded hill of Nittany Pointe. Mo and his roommates had differences of opinions when it came to decorating their new living room, so they decided to ask the girls downstairs. They knocked on the door of apartment 2014 where Abbey and her roommates lived. Mo was the first to introduce himself, and Abbey instantly found his accent to be cute. The ice breaker was the start of a 3 year friendship for the two. They seemed to always find each other at day longs, studying in the library, and even sitting together in cinema class.
Summer going into senior year, 2016, things took a change. The two ran into each other at a backyard party during Arts Fest. Mo was adamant to explain why he had severe sun poisoning, exaggerating a story to make Abbey laugh. The two spent the day together with friends, and little did they know that their time together that day would spark the beginning of their love story! Although their friendship always came first, they realized that this change of pace is exactly what they needed and found that they balance each other out in all the right ways.
Mo proposed in the summer of 2023 in Montauk, another bucket list adventure for the two! After a weekend of fun, Mo decided to spontaneously extend their stay one more night, which threw Abbey off. Before dinner that night, Mo wanted to look at “a rock” his friend told him to check out on the beach. As they strolled down onto the beach, there stood a romantic dinner picnic where he got down on one knee and popped the question. “I felt like I was floating” abbey said. “Best day of my life!”
