Q + A

Will transportation be provided?

Yes! A 55-seater Motorcoach bus will transport guests from the Homewood Suites Center Valley hotel to the wedding venue beginning at 3:00pm. The bus will make two loops prior to the ceremony. At the end of the reception, the same bus will be available to transport guests back to the Homewood Suites Center Valley hotel beginning at 9:30pm. The bus will again make two loops.

What exactly is the dress code?

While this is a wedding, and we do expect our guests to arrive looking their best, we are also not blind to the simple fact that we are getting married outside in August. Therefore, we do not expect our male guests to wear jackets or long sleeves, however they are certainly welcome. Collared, short-sleeve golf shirts and long dress pants are encouraged. We simply request no casual dress, such as denim, shorts or tees. Ladies, formal dress attire is certainly welcome, but do not hesitate to step your wardrobe down a notch by opting for a light maxi dress or formal romper! It's possible the temperature will be cooler at night as our wedding date bumps shoulders with that autumn climate, so please be sure to bring an additional layer in case it's cooler when the sun goes down. All in all, comfort is our main priority, so if you have any questions or need a second opinion, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of us!

Is the venue air-conditioned?

Yes and no. There are moments during our day that will be held outside and also inside. Our ceremony will be held outdoors and is anticipated to be the hottest part of the day, which is why we opted to begin our ceremony at a later time and to also shorten it to a maximum of 20-30 minutes. The large barn on the premises is where the reception will be held. The barn does not have central air, however, the venue provides large industrial fans and air-conditioning units to keep guests comfortable. We have strategically mapped out our floor plan to keep our guests, food, bar, and dancefloor spread out, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere for all! There is a smaller barn attached to the reception area that does have central air. This is where the bridal suite, bathrooms, and an additional resting area is located for our guests to cool-off and mingle. This area will also be available during cocktail hour for an immediate relief from the heat following the ceremony. Ice towels will also be offered to our guests and passed around by the event staff throughout the day and evening to help relieve any discomfort caused by the summer heat.

Where can I book a hotel room?

Under the Hotel Accommodations tab, you will find detailed information for The Homewood Suites Center Valley hotel, as well as a booking link to reserve your hotel room for a discounted rate. The reservation block includes options for both Thursday night (8/29) and/or Friday night 8/30. Check-out will be on Saturday 8/31. Our after-party following the reception will be held from 10pm to midnight at The Homewood Suites Center Valley. Please note there are other hotels available in the surrounding area, including the Quality Inn & Suites Quakertown, Hampton Inn Quakertown, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Quakertown, and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Quakertown. All hotels are located within a 10-12 minute drive from the venue. While we can confirm the shuttle will transport Homewood Suites guests to and from the venue, it is to be determined if the shuttle service will transport guests to and from other hotel locations. *More details to come shortly.

Are the ceremony and the reception located at different venues?

No! Mike and Monica strategically planned an easy day for both them and their guests. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all located at the same venue and within the same vicinity. However, guests are invited to continue the party with the bride and groom afterhours at The Homewood Suites Center Valley hotel from 10pm to midnight at the hotel's lobby bar.

Will the cuisine accommodate dietary restrictions?

Of course! The bride and many of the guests follow a gluten-free diet, so there will be gluten-free options, as well as vegetarian. It is important to note that the venue also serves as a bakery, so please keep this in mind if you have a severe nut allergy. Dinner will be served buffet-style, therefore food selections will not be needed. If you have any questions, concerns, or a dietary restriction that is not listed, please do not hesitate to reach out to Monica or Mike.
