Picture this, the year was 2003.
Monica and Stephen met at Vista Ridge High School, in Cedar Park, Texas. While neither can remember how they met, Monica vividly remembers a cute, red-haired boy stretching as he got ready to head onto the football field. Stephen remembers getting distracted by a brown eyed girl, flying through the air, as she and the rest of the cheerleaders warmed up before the game.
Years later, after many nights of soaking in hot tubs, chasing deer, going to prom together, and exploring the beaches of South Padre, they remained friends. As they ventured into the world, Monica and Stephen stayed in touch and saw each other over long holidays and trips back home. They always had to know what the other was up to.
Finally [as their friends would say, with a forceful exhale]. The two realized they were perfect for each other. Despite living 2000 miles apart , with separate lives and careers, they took a leap of faith and decided to give it the ole college try.
Three months later, Stephen packed his bags and moved to the big apple. They were very happy. Especially with the addition of their dog, Keira.
Bring on 2020, late nights of studying, stress over getting into nursing school, and very busy jobs. Not to mention a global pandemic. 7 quality puzzles, multiple wine deliveries, Stephen's 31st birthday, and Monica's acceptance into nursing school, the two gave NY the boot and moved back to Texas.
Naturally, Monica was eager to get engaged. On her 31st birthday, Stephen surprised her with not only the best present, but also a symbol of the family she's always dreamed of.
They can't wait to celebrate life, marriage, and well wishes with you. The people who made them the way they are today.
xoxo
