The year was 2007, a guy and a girl sit across a bar from one another at Fridays. They look up to find each other staring at one another. A connection was made between Ken and Monica!

They dated briefly before parting ways. Over the next eight years they continued to date and part ways a few more times. No worries we were just exploring life to become the best versions of ourselves for one another.

On Christmas Day of 2015, Monica ventured out to Honey Baked Ham to pick up food for Christmas. Unbeknowst to Monica, Ken observed Monica depart Honey Baked Ham. He called Monica on her cell phone and she did not answer. He pulled up next to my car, blew the horn, and said girl, you didn’t answer the phone. This could be the best call of your life.

Ken came over later Christmas day to reconnect and we have not parted since. We have traveled the world, shared many laughs, endured the pandemic, and had a beautiful, smart, funny daughter, Kensley.

On our last vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, we took a vacation with family and friends to celebrate my 40th birthday and Ken proposed at a group dinner. I was so surprised and said YESSSS!!
