Chris and Monica first met in 2019. At the time, Monica was a nanny for her middle school dance coach, Kristen Fuoco, and Chris had recently moved back to Utah for graduate school. One day Kristen came home and said that she and Nick (Chris's brother) had been talking about how Chris and Monica would be a good match, so she asked if they could line them up. Monica agreed and let Chris take her out on their first date. Chris, being the romantic that he is, took her to Settebello and on a drive up the canyon. A perfect start to their love story.

Since then, Chris and Monica have taken many trips; their favorite being trips to National Parks where they can hike and explore. They have been together through both of their Master's degrees - one which forced them to live thousands of miles apart for two years. Luckily Chris is a patient guy ;) Once Monica moved back, they continued to grow their relationship, and created more memories together. One of those wonderful memories was in July 2023 when Chris proposed to Monica on their trip to Italy. He surprised her at a park that looks out over Rome.

Monica and Chris are so excited to have all of their friends and family together to celebrate the end of their 5 years dating, and the beginning of their many years of happiness and love!
