Back in June of 2022, Preston and I matched on hinge, We were familiar with each other from Station Camp High School, but never talked during high school. After a few times of back and forth on hinge, he asked me if I had any social media and what my phone number was. From there we began to text and occasionally snapchat. After a few weeks of back and forth, he was ready to take me on a date and see where things went.

On July 6,2022 we went on our first date to The Chop House in Hendersonville. After that first date, I had a feeling that he would be the man I would end up marrying. We had great conversation the whole time and we ended up mutually agreeing to another date two days later at the bowling alley. The dates kept continuing over the next month and we continued to grow feelings for each other.

August 7, 2022 he asked me to be his girlfriend officially to which I replied, "I thought I already was." At least we had an official date now :) Two days later we attended his family reunion with his dad's side of the family and jumped right into this whole thing. Ever since then the time has been filled with many dates, gym workouts, church dates, and visits before my night shifts as he brings me some coffee. Most importantly we have gotten the chance to grow and spending time with each other as a couple.

Since the beginning of 2023 I had no doubt in mind that he would be the one I was going to marry. When I asked about where he was at with wanting to get engaged at some point, he replied that he had a 4 seasons rule. This meant that we had to experience all seasons together before he would ever think about proposing. Once season 4 was complete I was more ready than ever thinking it could be anytime; however, his timeline changed every time it was brought up.

Throughout our conversations of getting engaged and married, he had expressed that would be at least 8 months as of January. At the start of February that mysteriously decreased to 5 months. On February 7, 2024 I had been asleep all day to prep for three night shifts in a row. Typically Preston would try to come visit me before work and bring me a coffee if he got off work early enough. Well that evening, he called me and said he had to take a trailer somewhere in Mount Juliet, TN for work and he didn't think he would make it. Turns out he was actually on his way back from Franklin, TN picking up my engagement ring and waiting for me to leave the house so he could as my parents for their permission. On February 10, 2024 Preston pulled off the biggest surprise of all. We had already planned on doing our Valentine's celebration on the 10th, but he would not tell me where we were going. He kept trying to throw me off the trail saying we were going somewhere downtown and that it would take over an hour to get there. Turns out we had reservations to The Chop House where we had our first date. Afterwards we headed back to his house, and he had a little set up asking if I would marry him for when we arrived to which I said yes of course!
