Justin and Monique met at his and his twin sister Mariah's 19th birthday. Enamored by her heart of gold and his love of life they knew it was love at first sight. Monique had showed up with one of his close friends, and from the moment he saw her, he knew he had to have the shine of her eyes and the light of her sole with him forever. Of coarse, his friend said they were together (which was a lie) but as a gentleman, he waited until he could make the future he imagined with her a reality.

She was 21 and felt the same about him but being shy and not knowing anyone she kept to herself, until he walked up and started talking to her and they grew closer and closer. Justin lived with his sister Mariah working and paying bills, while Monique lived with her father Brian also attending cosmetology school. As they became friends it became clear that they wanted to spend all the time they could together and Monique moved into their apartment.

Justin then proposed to Monique in 2018, ready to be the husband and father Monique and Lyra wanted and needed in their lives. Life went on and the wedding wasn't able to happen right away, but the love never stopped. Now with Lyra, Atlas, and River that call them mommy and daddy they are finally ready to get this amazing next step completed. With love, laugher, fights, and joy the future is ours!!!!
