Matthew and Montana met at Montana Wilderness School of the Bible, in the mountains of Montana.

Tana was going to school to encourage her walk with the Lord and to expand her biblical knowledge and foundation of faith. She had always heard stories about people finding their spouses while at bible college but wasn't expecting to find love herself. When she first met the long-haired boy from Washington she thought he was a hippy and planned to avoid him for the rest of the school year. But the LORD works in mysterious ways. after a few months of getting to know each other and becoming inseparable friends they started dating in March of 2021. After the school year ended, they then spent 16 moths dating long distance, before Matt moved to Cheney Washington to go to school and be closer to Tana.

On September 6th, 2024, Matthew purposed to Tana at La Push beach, and she said yes.
