Our journey together started in an unexpected, but typical modern day fashion,—online. We hit it off right away, but our first date didn’t go exactly as planned. Ben had to reschedule because of rain, and when the place he had chosen turned out to be closed, we found ourselves at Dairy Queen instead. What could’ve been a disappointment turned into something beautiful. Over burgers, ice cream, and plenty of laughter, we talked for hours, feeling a connection we never expected.

A little while later, Montana made her first visit to the ranch, and Ben asked her what she wanted to do. Without hesitation, she said she just wanted to see some cows. So, they drove to the farthest pasture, putting out salt and mineral, with nothing but the wide-open sky around them. As they watched the sun set, they realized it wasn’t just the view that was breathtaking—it was the quiet, perfect moment they shared together.
