We actually met twice and didn't even know it...

Nick was at a party in Brookings, SD that I had just showed up to. He was standing by the pool table in a JCC (Jackson Country Central) wrestling sweatshirt so I approached him because I knew Jackson and Slayton wrestled at the same tournaments sometimes (let's be real, I also thought he was cute & he will argue to this day, that he approached me, but we all know that is false). We exchanged numbers that night. Nick said he would text me when he was in Brookings again (at this time he was living in Sioux Falls attending STI).

ALMOST 2 MONTHS LATER (winter break did occur during this time I guess).... Nick finally texts me asking if I knew of any parties. When I received the text, I literally asked myself, "Who is this Nick Carroll guy?". I looked him up on Facebook and did not recognize him at all (to my defense, he had longer hair in his FB profile picture). So, I never replied to him which is unlike me.

About 3 weeks later (give or take), I was at a party with a couple of friends. Who knows what time of the night it was or how long I had been there but I wanted to dance. Problem was, there was a guy leaning in the doorway kind of blocking the entrance (rude right?). Well, I walked up to the doorway and walked underneath his arm then told him he was going to dance with me. He looked at his friend that was standing near him (some kind of head nod went on) and agreed. After we danced, I told him to put his number in my phone. As he was typing his name into my contacts, his name and number pulled up (meaning it was already in my phone). I looked at him and said, "WAIT, YOUR NICK CARROLL?!" and yes, I practically yelled at him in astonishment... I explained to him that he texted me earlier that month but I didn't know who he was so I didn't reply (I even went on to tell him how I stalked his FB profile, TMI? haha). He also didn't recognize me, buuutt the first time we met I had blond hair with a blue streak and at this point in time, I had brown hair. After that night, we kept in touch.

AND the rest is history because here we are GETTING MARRIED! :)
