It all began in February 2023 at Foundry Church, where I first walked through the doors, unaware that my life was about to change. Among the welcoming faces, there was Peter, but we didn’t really speak until one October Sunday. As I noticed him walking out, an impulse struck me—I turned to him and said goodbye. Little did I know, that small gesture would spark something incredible.

Just 30 minutes later, my phone buzzed with a message from Peter, asking if I had time to talk later. My heart raced with a mix of excitement and nerves. That evening he asked me out on our first date. On October 11, 2023, we found ourselves at Aplos, a charming Greek restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect, and as we shared stories and laughter, I knew something special was beginning.

Only three days later, Peter confessed all the things he admired about me and asked if I wanted us to make it official. My heart swelled with joy; I couldn’t wait to see where this journey would take us.

Fast forward to September 12, 2024—an ordinary dinner at his grandparents’ house turned into an unforgettable moment. When we arrived, the house was quiet, and I noticed two figures on the boat dock. As we stepped outside, I was captivated by the walkway lined with beautiful, rainbow-colored light-up globes. I turned to Peter, teasingly asking if he was about to propose. His smile gave me all the answers I needed.

He led me to the dock, where a table awaited us, adorned with a stunning floral arrangement, tea light candles, and our favorite pictures together. I felt tears welling up as he knelt before me, the world around us fading away. When he asked me to marry him, I didn’t hesitate for a second—my answer was the easiest “YES!” I had ever given.

We celebrated that night surrounded by loved ones, creating memories to cherish forever. Our story, filled with spontaneity, laughter, and love, was just beginning.
