Justin and Morgan first crossed paths senior year of college. The two were celebrating the holidays at home, in the suburbs of Illinois, when Morgan saw a photo of Justin on Instagram through mutual friends, and immediately thought, "he's cute!" Oddly enough, the two had attended the same high school together, were one grade apart and lived 10 minutes away from one another, but had somehow never crossed paths. Through the power of social media and some direct messages, the two found themselves on their first date together at Top Golf on December 17th, 2017.

Fun fact: Morgan's lucky number is 17 and at the time, she had no idea that she would truly be meeting her husband on the 17th day in 2017! Some may call it fate...

Justin and Morgan's date at Top Golf was eventful, to say the least. Morgan wore high heeled ankle boots to an indoor golf course and Justin wore cowboy boots, both very practical options. Morgan was so nervous that she accidentally spilled her beer on herself. She was so embarrassed until Justin accidentally spilled on himself too. See, it happens! Morgan immediately felt comfortable afterwards, and they both started laughing. It wasn't until a few months later that Justin revealed he spilled his beer on purpose to make Morgan feel comfortable, like a true gentleman.

Justin soon asked Morgan to be his girlfriend on New Year's Eve, only 2 weeks later, starting off 2018 in the best way.

Morgan and Justin spent the last semester of college long distance and visiting one another at their respective colleges in Arkansas and Missouri. They did a lot of college things together like go to bars, take weekend trips, and have luxury date nights at Chili's.

Fast forward to graduation, and the two were no longer long distance, as they both moved back to Chicago to begin working the daily jobs that everyone is so very eager to work at until they retire. The two spent this transitional time commuting to the city from the suburbs and oddly enough, ended up getting a job at the same company. They would walk into work together and the front desk man in the lobby always said, "you guys are going to get married one day and when you do, come back and see me."

The next few years were filled with tons of amazing memories like surviving a pandemic together, road trips, concerts, and all the small moments in-between. In 2021, Justin and Morgan moved into their first apartment together in Nashville, TN, someplace they had always dreamed of living. They had the best time in their new city, exploring country music and mountains, something that is not as common in Illinois. As they started discussing their lives moving forward, they realized how much they missed their family and friends back in Illinois and decided to move back in the winter of 2023.

On October 7th, 2022 Justin and Morgan visited Justin's family in Blacksburg, Virginia. They had taken one of their first trips together here in 2018, where Morgan told Justin how much she loved fall on the east coast. After a grueling 4 hour hike and a bit too much wine the night before, Justin got down on one knee and proposed to Morgan on a stunning mountaintop on the Appalachian Trail. Not to mention, Justin kneeled on a rock close to the edge of a cliff. It's a good thing that Morgan said, yes!
