Hi friends + family! We are so excited + blessed for you all to be a part of our big day and cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!

Here is a little bit about us

We first met on June 30, 2018 at Morgan's brother's wedding! Mark was there because he played football at Hillsdale College with Jake (Morgan's brother), and Morgan was there celebrating her brother and new sister-in-law Bekah. Little did we know we would find our husband/wife at such an unexpected time and place! The following day Mark decided to reach out to Morgan and expressed interest in meeting up again soon. Morgan was very hesitant at first considering Mark's hometown was in Illinois and she lived in Michigan. Despite Morgan's hesitation, she found herself consistently telling her friends and family about Mark and spending ALL her free time on the phone with him...even though she always denied liking him. However, following many, many months, and A LOT of persistence from Mark, Morgan finally agreed to visit Mark at Hillsdale. We went on a date to Hillsdale's famous barbecue restaurant (Saucy Dogs for you Hillsdale people) and had the best time the rest of the weekend! After many more trips to Hillsdale football games and tailgates, Mark asked Morgan to be his girlfriend and she said yes!

Fast forward a year or so and Mark made the decision to move to Michigan after he graduated and got an apartment close to Morgan's hometown. This was heaven for us considering we had been doing long distance for the first year and a half of our relationship! It was so fun to be able to spend time together on weekdays and be just a short drive away from each other. As our love progressed and we both continued to center our relationship on God and consistently put each other first, we knew we had found our forever person!

On October 2nd, 2020, Mark proposed to Morgan with the most BEAUTIFUL ring at their favorite place to spend time, Morgan's family's cottage. After an obvious YES from Morgan, Mark had his family, her family, and her close friends drive up to the cottage to surprise her! The following day Mark told Morgan they were going out to dinner with his family to celebrate their engagement. Once they arrived, they walked in and there was a room full of ALL their family and friends making for the best engagement party!

Six months later, Morgan graduated from Nursing school, passed her NCLEX board exam and became a registered nurse working in the Emergency Department downtown Grand Rapids. Mark is continuing to work as a Senior Consulting analyst at Marsh & McLennan from home/Grand Rapids....SO it just made sense for us to take the next adult step and buy our first house in Hudsonville, Michigan!
