Morgan and Justin met in college at UNC Pembroke. When Morgan was a freshman she saw Justin walking around campus and asked one of her friends who he was. She was told that he was senior and had a girlfriend, so in Morgan's mind she was like oh well they are going to graduate and get married, so she said okay and never thought about it again. Well little did Morgan know that after Justin graduated he eventually came back to Pembroke for Grad school and he was single. Justin was always interested in Morgan and even talked to his friend about her. Morgan didn't know any of this because Justin never made a move on her or even talked to her.

In 2015, Justin messaged Morgan on Instagram asking her a question about an event taking place on campus. Morgan answered his question and didn't think anything of it. Well Justin kept commenting on Morgan's stories and starting conversation, so Morgan would respond.

Eventually they exchanged numbers and started texting. Morgan and Justin texted for 3 years before they decided to meet in person. Justin was home for holiday leave from Basic Training and Morgan was at the beach celebrating her sister's 30th birthday. Morgan was ready to see if after all this time her and Justin would actually like each other, so she said to Justin "Are you ever going to take me out on a date?" to which Justin replied yes, when are you free?

They went on their first date on December 23, 2020. On January 3rd, 2021 Justin was headed back to Georgia to finish Basic Training and on that day he asked Morgan to be his girlfriend.

On October 31st, 2021 Justin and Morgan got up early and went on a walk with their dogs Brooklyn and Kylie down by the river front in Greenville, NC. It was a beautiful day and that is where Justin got down on one knee and asked Morgan to marry him!
