09.23.11 - The Day We Started Dating
After class one day, our two best friends at the time decided to introduce the two of us, and man it was awkward. Then two days later we went to applebee's together after a friday night football game and the next week was full of awkward texts, a mexican food date night after a softball game, being asked if we were "talking" and finally it was 09.23.11! After the homecoming football game Zach asked Morgan if she wanted to make it official, and she said yeah! We went to Applebee's, shared some appetizers and our first kiss ever.

We bought our first home in July of this year, and three months later it was finally starting to look like a home. We bought a kitchen table, put out some Halloween decor, pictures, plants, and we framed and hung the "Perfect" Zach got Morgan for Christmas last year. After dinner with Zach's mom, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins, we came home to fill picture frames, and once all was done, Morgan suggested that we danced to "Perfect", and we turned off the lights, kicked our shoes off, and danced in the glow of the ghost and candy corn twinkly lights for over an hour to songs from the last 8 years of our relationship. We ended our slow dance session with "Perfect" and when it was over we kind of just danced in silence until we struck a conversation that included a how low can you go contest, and when it was Zach's turn he said "I can't go low, but if I did it would be like this AND GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE!!! Zach said now that we have a house feeling like a home, there's only one thing missing, and it's us. Morgan, will you marry me? Morgan could not believe it, she kept asking if it was actually happening, and Zach kept saying yes, and Morgan probably said yes like 50 times, they both cried and took a few pictures, and it was Perfect.

In late April when we realized that the pandemic was going to last longer than a few weeks, we made the tough decision to postpone our wedding until 2021. When our original wedding date came we realized we didn't want to postpone becoming husband and wife, so we decided that we wanted to elope! Picking the date was easy, November 22nd was the day that Zach took Morgan to meet his Grandparents Jim, and Marilyn for thanksgiving in 2012. It was the last of the family that had yet been met, and it was a very special day. At the elopement Morgan gave a speech before stating she picked November 22 because it was the day she knew she wanted to be apart of Zach's life forever 8 years prior to that day. So within three minutes, we exchanged the basic vows you hear in movies, and we were married! Due to there still be a pandemic we had an extremely limited guest list and it meant a lot to have our "parents" and bridal party apart of it! However, Morgan did accidentally ask Zach if he would take her as his husband so luckily we get a redo this September with our closest friends and family :)
