They say the best things find you when you stop looking for them. That’s exactly what happened.It was October 14th, 2017 and the Huskers were trying to play Ohio State. I was with my friend, Michaela, and we were going to meet our other friend, Emily, since she was back in town from grad school (at Ohio State). Michaela and I drove from Omaha to Lincoln to get on a hayrack ride with Emily and her family. Well, turns out Michaela and I forgot our IDs back in Omaha so we had to drive allll the way back. We definitely missed the hayrack ride...Well once we got back to Lincoln, we were waiting for them at Barry's Bar. The Husker game was in full swing, the bar was packed, and we were in need of a drink. Michaela spotted her friend, Tyler, in the bar so we walked over and started talking. Michaela and Tyler were talking and I noticed this tall drink of water standing next to him. I introduced myself and said I was a friend of Michaela's and he said his name was Jason and he was a friend of Tyler's. We talked for awhile and then went our separate ways. We bumped into each other a few times again that night, but just talked and danced. The night ended.I couldn't stop thinking about him, so I channeled my inner FBI skills and friended him on Snapchat and Facebook (total creeper I know - but it paid off!). A couple weeks had passed and thanks to some liquid courage and a snapchat on Halloween, we officially started talking Halloween weekend 2017. Our first date was a week later, and we were dating a week after that. Little did we know that was the start to the rest of our lives.Neither of us were looking for anything, but we found what we both needed, each other. Let's get this party started!
