When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP as soon as you can! However, we ask that you RSVP by April 17th at the latest. This includes letting us know the number of people who will be attending with you. This allows our vendors to get a correct head count and help our day flow as smoothly as possible for everyone!
What attire is okay?
The biggest take away from "Black Tie Affair" is that we want everyone to be wearing BLACK! So for the ladies, a nice black sundress/cocktail dress will be perfect. By no means do I mean you have to be in a fancy prom dress! For the men, think a black suit jacket with khakis. Black button up shirt with khakis. If you feel the need/desire to wear a black suit, please go for it!
The most important take away is EVERYONE WEAR BLAACKKKKK. It makes for pretty photos :)
What time should I arrive?
Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony. This will ensure everyone is seated prior to the beginning of the ceremony and allow for the wedding to begin promptly.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be! Please drink responsibly and if you are planning on driving home, please arrange for safe transportation. We will have a shuttle service that will provide transportation to Hampton Inn.
Is there a discounted hotel rate for the wedding?
We have chosen Hampton Inn Cape Girardeau to provide discounted rates. You can call at 573-334-4499 and mention the Fuwell/Sims' wedding to take advantage of the discounted nightly rates. The hotel will allow for these discounted rates for the nights of May 16th and May 17th. To take advantage of this rate, rooms must be booked by April 16th, 2025.
Are kids allowed at the wedding?
Yes, kids are allowed at the wedding! We love your kiddos! However, we do ask that you are aware of certain events occurring at the wedding and be respectful of such. For example, please keep your kiddos seated and quiet during the ceremony and they will not be allowed on the dance floor during first dance, father/mother dance, etc. We hope that you understand, and the dance floor will be open to your kiddos to bust some moves later in the evening!
