Our Wedding

The story begins in 2018 when Morgan and Joe matched on a newly popular dating app called, Hinge. They began chatting throughout the day about their shared interests in music, travel, hobbies and, of course, their dogs. Before long, Joe asked Morgan where she worked and what she did for a living- she replied “Antero Resources” – the same exact place Joe spent 50 hours a week staring at spreadsheets. “ME TOO!” Joe replied. Morgan threw her phone in the air in disbelief, and before the day was done, Joe was staring into her eyes, face to face, and asking Morgan out on their first date- little did they know, it would be a date that would last a lifetime. Joe quickly found a new entrance into the office that gave him an excuse to walk past Morgan’s desk every morning, just so he could see her beautiful smile on his way to his desk every day. Over the next few months, Morgan and Joe became inseparable- weekends were filled with brunch dates, concerts, and hikes with Boone. Later that year, Morgan took Joe to Louisiana on his birthday to experience Death Valley, The Big Easy, and most importantly, to meet her family.&nbsp;

2018

As their love for each other grew, so did Morgan and Joe’s family when Morgan’s dog Mila moved to Denver!! Morgan and Joe took their first ski trip together to Steamboat, Colorado, where Morgan found her favorite winter sport: après skiing. The couple also enjoyed other adventures that year, including camping in the Rocky Mountains, Electric Forest in Michigan, and Morgan’s first Pokes Football game (Author’s note: I never thought she would marry me after I made this southern princess endure below zero temperatures in Laramie, Wyoming).

2019

Despite society shutting down from the COVID-19 pandemic, Morgan and Joe found a way to make the most of things by spending time camping and hiking with their pups. Even though traveling was a challenge, Morgan wanted to ensure Joe’s 30th birthday was memorable and took him to Nashville, Tennessee. 3 things that will test the strength of a relationship- Nashville hot chicken, shared working spaces and applying Halloween face paint on your boyfriend.&nbsp;&nbsp;

2020

In 2021, Morgan and Mila make a big leap in the joint relationship by moving in with Joe and Boone, it was like the brady bunch, but better! Morgan and Joe spent a majority of 2021 improving the house that Joe had purchased in 2017 by adding new floors, fresh paint, and a updating the kitchen (Author’s note: couples home remodeling is a true test of a strong relationship). Outside of home improvement, Morgan and Joe made sure to continue their travels with a trip to Miami, Florida and a two-week overlanding excursion halfway across the country to from Denver to multiple wineries, and finally, to Astoria, Oregon, where Morgan met Joe’s grandparents.&nbsp;

2021

Morgan’s 30th birthday was celebrated at a Secrets resort near Cancun, Mexico with plenty of lobster and tequila. It was here that Morgan and Joe talked about how great it would be to get married in such a beautiful place. Later that year, Joe reflected on the four years he had spent with Morgan and appreciated how much their love had grown for each other- he knew there was no other person on earth he would rather spend the rest of his life with, and it was time to propose to Morgan. Finally, after years of waiting (“what am I, a child bride??”) Joe knelt on one knee in Rome, Italy and asked Morgan if she would marry him. Tears welled in his eyes when she said yes, and despite the tears, he was the happiest man on the planet that day. (Author’s note: I almost proposed in the rain in Berlin, Germany three days prior, but something about it just wasn’t the vibe).

2022

Newly engaged with plans for their future, Morgan began her new career while Joe maintained his busy work schedule and managed his fantasy football team to the championship and a 2nd place finish (Author’s note: there is always next year). The couple sold the house where they had made so many memories and promised each other they would make more in a new home, that they would someday raise a family in.

2023

This love story is just beginning, and the next chapter starts on 10/20/2024 with all of YOU!
