Colson & Morgan met the summer after freshman year working at TBarM Camps & Retreats. Both being coaches that summer, the two developed a great friendship. Though they didn't know it, the Lord was orchestrating a beautiful story.

Summer after summer the two returned back to the place they first met, continuing a sweet friendship. The third and final summer the two served at camp on the Leadership Team, a smaller team, where they were able to deepen their friendship.

After that summer, the two parted ways returning to Ole Miss and Texas Tech for their senior year, not thinking they would ever see the other again. A sweet chapter of their lives was seemingly closed. And yet, the Lord was still working.

Upon graduating, Morgan took an extended internship with USA Baseball in North Carolina and Colson began working for Warren CAT in Lubbock. As the end of her internship approached, a sports media company, Learfield, reached out and had roles available in Norman, Oklahoma or Lubbock, TX.

With both of those places being foreign to Morgan, she called on the only person she could remember that lived in Lubbock, Colson! When Morgan arrived in Lubbock for her interview, the two went to Caprock Cafe, a Lubbock staple. Talking late into the night, the two picked up right where they left off.

Morgan returned back to Mississippi with a big decision to make and Colson hoped that decision was to move to Lubbock. It was at this point that the two felt something, but didn't know how the other felt.

On December 11th, Colson got the call! Morgan was moving to Lubbock! And needless to say, he wasted no time in making the first move. Later that night, Colson called to ask Morgan to be a date at his friend's wedding coming up. He phrased it as a great way to meet people in Lubbock but was hoping this could be the start of something great.
