In 2017, a boat of college students from Minnesota went long-lining for sharks in Bimini, Bahamas. When they finally caught one, and the research captain asked for volunteers to collect data on the shark, only two hands went up. Morgan and Nathan. Immediately, Nate was smitten and Morgan ... was more focused on the shark in her hand. But eventually she agreed to go on a date, and the rest was history.

Since that day, we have built a life and continued our adventures. Over the last 7+ years we finished our degrees at U of M, moved into our first apartment together and were immediately quarantined, and eventually moved across the country for grad school. Now, we are living in Orange County, CA, in a home full of animals with our cat Luna, and our golden retriever, Brewer, and life is good! The outdoors here have been great! We enjoy going to the beach, kayaking, camping, and hiking. When we aren't out in the sunshine, we love exploring new restaurants, reading at home with our pets, and having a beer with friends. It's safe to say we have been living our lives to the fullest. So why not celebrate and make everything official!

With such an amazing story, I (this is Nate btw) needed an equally spectacular proposal. A trip back to Bimini, probably would have tipped Morgan off, so I decided to pop the question at her favorite spot in SoCal, Crystal Cove State Beach. I convinced Morgan to get dressed up for a fancy date, but took her to a beach instead. After she got past the initial confusion of being in a dress at the beach, we made our way over to a blanket with a bouquet of her favorite flowers and a bottle of champagne. And as I am sure you know since you are reading this on our wedding website, she said yes!!!
