In the summer of 2024 in the early days of June, Chase and Morgan met on a dating app. Chase was captivated by Morgan’s profile and after many attempts to get a response he succeeded. In Morgan’s profile she created a prompt that read, “Bourbon and Bonfires”. If you know Morgan, these are two of her favorite things. Chase felt one item was missing. He responded to Morgan asking, “what about s’mores?” As if a hint to Chases sweet tooth was needed, it seemed to be the perfect response as Chase and Morgan began texting.
Weeks went by and the two decided to have their first date at Bella Notte. While planning the date the two bonded over their love of Florida, animals, sports, Morgan’s love for baking and Chase’s love for eating baked goods (specifically cookies!), and the outdoors. The day came for their first date and as Morgan arrived early, Chase was 30 minutes LATE! Although a rough start, he seemed to redeem himself. Chase flew into the parking lot while Morgan observed from her car. He ran towards the building without knowing where Morgan was and stopped to take a picture for a group of women having a girl’s night out. Morgan was able to sneak up on him. Embarrassed, Chase apologized for being late and the two entered the restaurant. The conversations flowed and it seemed as if they two had known each other forever. Before ordering, they both decided to continue the date that evening at Main Event and then go to the Gorge the next day.
The Gorge was amazing as the two explored the beauty of Kentucky and enjoyed Miguel’s pizza. As the day ended, they discussed how Morgan would be gone for the next two weeks on a family vacation to Florida. Unready for her to leave, they decided to have one more date. The morning Morgan and her family were leaving for Florida, the two decided to have breakfast at First Watch.
Chase and Morgan had gone on 3 dates in 1 week before Morgan left for 2 weeks which was then followed by Chase being gone for a long weekend in Alabama. As the two were apart, the connection they felt for each other grew stronger. They continued talking until they decided to meet each other’s’ family all in the same day and started dating on July 26, 2023.
Time went on and the couple grew even closer and their love grew stronger as memories were made on the dates they shared, vacations they went on and holidays they celebrated together. Morgan took Chase to Disneyworld for the first time and on that trip is when Chase told Morgan he loved her after 3 days of trying. Little did she know the next time they would return to Florida; Chase would ask her to marry him.
Chase and Morgan got engaged on April 18, 2024 at Manasota Beach in Englewood Florida as the sun set on the horizon. As Chase fumbled his words, Morgan was in complete shock as she said yes!
